100 word challenge (White, Octopus, Springing, Gentle, Piano)

We are sitting in front of the octopus, I like them, for some reason I get them. I don’t know what it is, it’s hard to explain. They are gentle, smart, and live in our massive ocean. They don’t belong in an aquarium. Out of the middle of nowhere, I hear a “Bum!” I look back and see the massive white piano, the keys springing out of the wood. But, I remember why I came, to look at the octopus. I was there all day. The best moment was when I put my hand on the glass of the tank and the octopus reached out and laid its tentacle against the glass on my hand.

I plunged down into the dark, dank, and deep ocean, assisted by my heavy scuba gear. Still underwater, I opened my eyes to be greeted by an interesting surprise – an almost translucent white octopus. It was staring straight at me, its tentacles waving in the gentle currents. It appeared like it was beckoning me with one of its tentacles. Turning, the colorless creature swam away. Curious, I slowly followed, making sure I knew where the speedboat was. After a while, I was too far away from the octopus to keep swimming at my rate of about 1 mph. Ditching my flippers, I started springing off of various items, including a piano, to move faster.

Abyss

Eiffel stared into the abyss, standing like a monolith, and started to cry. The once occasional tears that were gently running down her face turned into a long stream of something like octopus tentacles squirming from her red and swollen eyes. Kaylee was gone, she had fallen into the void, down into the never-ending galaxy. Eiffel’s face turned a pale white, and she melted onto the ground, sobbing. There was a noise, it was faint, it was happy. It was a piano, Kaylee’s favorite instrument. Springing up she whipped her body around to find Kaylee, opening her arms for a hug. Eiffel tried to run into her arms but woke up crying and petrified.

I changed into a sweatshirt and jeans. I hopped into the car, slammed the door, and immediately put in my earbuds and watched The Simpsons.

“Can I check your passport please?”  said the cartoon security guard.

“Why you little,” said Homer and he started strangling the guard.

I am on my way to the airport to fly to Hawaii. I had a lot of luggage. We arrived and the line was really long. And I mean really long. The only way to get to the plane was to wait. 1 hour later I was second in line. There was a security guard checking for anything that you should not have. Finally, it was our turn.

“Can I check your passport?” he asked.

“Ok.”

I began digging through my bags.

“Where is my passport?” I said quietly.

“Got it!”

You may get on the plane.

“This is going to be the best trip ever!”

“Can I check your passport?”, he asked, “ok you may go”. I went down to my row A 14, I was next to a big guy who looked friendly. I was luckily in first class, so the ride went smoothly. Until… the buckle sign lit up, so everybody put on their seat belts. That didn’t make anybody worried. The next part though, in the intercom, the pilot said “we are going to have to make an emergency landing don’t worry”. The last part rang in my ears.

100 Word Challenge – 2/22, Josie Caite

It was a frosty winter day in London. Gray rain clouds gathered in compacted groups in the sky. I was on my way to the airport. I enjoy the airport, especially when it’s time to board the plane. The airport was quite close to my house, so I could easily walk there with my luggage. Before I started the walk from my house to the airport, I made sure I had my passport. One step at a time, and I eventually made it to the airport. I was standing on the edge of the curb waiting for my passport to be checked when suddenly an employee asked: “Can I check your passport?”
