100 word challenge by Ella

When the winter witch comes, she locks the door with all the warmth, bringing the cold and her power frighting the bold. She locks the door with a cold laugh letting everyone know by storming in with a winter blow. The grass has frozen the leaves no more, so the tree shivers and quivers but in the grass surrounded by cold damp leaves is the key, the key to the possibility to bring the spring. If the winter witch catches you she will do her worst you may bust with laughter now and forever but I unlocked that door closing that closes the winter forevermore.

  1. What an imaginative use of the picture prompt, Ella. Your story reads more like a poem. Lots of great description in there. I particularly like ‘She locks the door with a cold laugh’ and ‘the tree shivers and quivers’, but there are lots more good examples. I also really like the upbeat ending.
