“Racers start your engines,” said the announcer.

The light turned red, then yellow, and finally green. The cars sped off on the track, engines growing like feral beasts.

 The announcer’s voice boomed from all the speakers making the very air itself vibrate.

“In the lead is #16 closely followed by #7, and behind is #4.”  #16, a sleek grey and maroon car with a black tail.

“The racers are coming up on Dead Man’s Curve,” said the announcer. #16 slid toppling over fire catching. #7 crossed the finish line

“And the winner is #7” yelled the announcer. It was over.
